Summary

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and manage bookkeeping tasks.
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense claims.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Prepare VAT returns and support tax filings.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Liaise with external accountants, clients, and suppliers as needed.
- Provide financial data and analysis to support business decisions.
Core Requirements:
- Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar role.
- AAT qualification or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA preferred (but not essential).
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
