FULL DESCRIPTION

Summary

This role involves planning and programming multimillion-pound precast concrete contracts using a critical path process. The Construction Planner will ensure successful contract delivery through accurate programming and strong record-keeping across design, procurement, production, and construction.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Development and maintenance of detailed critical path analysis for Contracts programmes, with accurate records on target vs. actual and associated variances
  • Management of on-site programme updates to include programme controls, projects costs and risk analysis
  • Advising the project team of critical changes to priorities alongside required adjustments to maintain targets.
  • Assisting the QS in the preparation of claim information in the event of delays and variations
  • Assisting the estimating team on the preparation of programmes within the tender documents and resource allocation.

Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills:

  • Applicants must have previous construction planning experience on JCT and NEC contracts.
  • A strong working knowledge of understanding critical path analysis.
  • Sound software knowledge to include Microsoft Office & Projects, Primavera and ASTA Powerproject.
  • Strong written and verbal reporting skills, highly organised and demonstrate a positive business acumen

Construction Planner

This role will involve the accurate planning and programming of our large multimillion-pound precast concrete contracts through a critical path process. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role to ensure the successful delivery of each contract through accurate programming and strong record-keeping across design, procurement, production, and construction. Working in conjunction with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyors, key duties will include :

  • The development and maintenance of detailed critical path analysis for Contracts programmes, with accurate records on target vs. actual and associated variances

  • Advising the project team of critical changes to priorities alongside required adjustments to maintain targets.
