Summary
A Healthcare Assistant is needed to provide care and support to service users with various needs, including mobility assistance, personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, and end-of-life care. The role requires excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering respectful care, with a driving license and access to a vehicle being essential. Expected hours are 20 – 37.5 per week.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
- Helping and supporting service users to manage any mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including helping in the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
- Domestic tasks such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry and emptying commodes
- Assisting service users with personal care such as washing, bathing and toilet arrangements.
- Help with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks and drinks
- Support with administrating medication.
- Contribute as needed to a person’s end-of-life care
Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills
- Have a right to work within the UK
- A driving license and access to a vehicle is essential for this role
- No previous experience is necessary but you will need to demonstrate real compassion, be an excellent communicator and problem solver, and be committed to delivering high-quality, respectful care
- Work authorization: United Kingdom (required)
