Summary
Seeking an experienced candidate to join the growing team to advise across the client base. The role involves leading client accounts focused on public affairs within the built environment, nurturing client relationships, providing strategic advice, and supporting junior consultants.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
- Acting as the lead on client accounts, with a focus on public affairs relating to the built environment and playing a key part in growing our built environment practice.
- Nurturing and maintaining relationships with existing clients and fostering relationships with new prospects.
- Acting as a strategic adviser to clients, providing insight, analysis and advice day-to-day.
- Leading client meetings, ensuring consistent high standard of work, and providing consistent and high-quality advice.
- Supporting and coaching the junior consultants with their work and progression.
- Playing a key role within the team on business development and supporting delivery of the built environment practice marketing plan.
Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills
- Experience executing communications, public affairs and consultation campaigns across channels, with a focus on planning, development, infrastructure, the built environment and/or local and regional government
- A keen interest in the built environment, current affairs, storytelling, politics, policy, digital campaigning and business.
- Excellent writing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- A passion for a fast-paced and varied working environment.
- Demonstrable experience of account management and line management.
- Candidates with 6+ years’ experience in a communications role at a consultancy or relevant in-house role are preferred.
