Summary
An enthusiastic and motivated qualified accountant is sought to manage a client portfolio comprising sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. The role will initially focus on accounts preparation and tax compliance, with potential for expansion into advisory services and business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of year-end accounts and corporation tax returns
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Undertaking ad hoc value-added services assignments
- Client portfolio management
Core Requirements
- ACCA / ACA qualified
- 2+ years post-qualification experience
- Proven knowledge of and experience in applying UK GAAP (FRS 102)
- Right to work within the UK without sponsorship.
Role and Responsibilities
Act as a team player to assist the directors in managing a client portfolio that comprises of limited companies, sole traders, partnerships and individuals; Client's service delivery including preparation of year-end accounts and corporation tax returns, preparation of VAT returns and undertaking ad hoc value-added services assignments; • Ability to multi-task and complete assignments within time constraints and set deadlines;
Ideally you will be qualified (ACCA / ACA) with at least 2 years post-qualification experience of working in a practice environment. It is essential you can demonstrate a proven knowledge of and experience in applying UK GAAP (FRS 102) to SMEs. As well as a proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering client solutions you must also have the right to work within the UK without sponsorship.
