Play Worker- Out of School Club

Responsibilities Include:

• Plan, develop, and deliver inclusive activities for the after-school and holiday programs, ensuring that they meet the needs of young people aged 4-12 years. Lead specific program elements, research, deliver, and evaluate activities.
• Assist in transporting children from local primary schools to Coram’s Fields for OSC and facilitate off-site trips during holiday schemes.
• Provide support as a key worker, including for Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) children and Children in Need (CIN). Address negative behaviour independently and collaboratively, creating both short and long-term solutions.
• Liaise with parents/guardians to support their child’s personal, social, educational, and emotional needs, and gather feedback from both young people and parents.
• Ensure the safety and supervision of children, maintain room preparation and cleanliness, administer medication as needed (with training), and ensure compliance with Coram’s Fields’ policies and OFSTED guidelines.
• Attend regular supervision, training, and development sessions, and take part in outreach to actively promote the OSC service while contributing to the team’s success.
