Job Description:

Position Title: Healthcare Assistant (HCA)

Location:  At 09 Care Limited  healthcare settings across the UK, including hospitals, care homes, and community services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting.
• Monitoring Health: Observing and reporting changes in patients’ conditions, including vital signs (like blood pressure, temperature, and pulse) to nursing staff.
• Support Services: Helping to maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning and preparing medical equipment and ensuring hygiene standards are met.
• Personal Interaction: Providing emotional support and companionship to patients, helping to alleviate anxiety and promote well-being.
• Documentation: Accurately keeping records of patient care and activities, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Assisting with Mobility: Aiding patients with moving, whether it’s helping them to walk, using wheelchairs, or transferring them between beds and chairs.
• Team Collaboration: Working under the supervision of nurses and other healthcare professionals, collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• A minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications, preferably including English and Maths.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is often preferable but not always necessary.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
• Basic understanding of healthcare protocols and procedures.
