Summary

An Electrical Estimator is required to join our dynamic Work Winning team in a hybrid role based at our London Office. In this role, you will play a crucial part in winning new projects by preparing accurate prime cost estimates for the Electrical components of our bids.

  • Supporting the Estimating team with Electrical bids and tenders
  • Preparing and submitting prime cost estimates utilising Enterprise Estimating Software
  • Liaising with internal and external engineers, consultants and subcontractors to construct and formulate estimates and resolve issues
  • Analysing drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare estimates.
  • Identifying and provide alternative design proposals, solutions and value engineering options
  • Establishing and maintaining tendering processes and conduct negotiations.
  • Preparing and maintaining a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
  • Supporting and encourage junior team members
  • Monitoring targets and work flow
  • Controlling and organising tender documentation.
  • Tracking and reporting on analytics on a variety of campaigns, internal communications, and social media using varied reporting tools
  • You will be responsible for all your own workload and for looking after the project you are on
  • You will also be required to be making all of your own decisions and will be expected to show initiative.

About the role

What you will need

Skills/ Experience

  • Experience working for a Mechanical & Electrical sub-contractor.
  • Proficient in using estimating software packages such as Trimble.
  • Experience in budget/cost planning
  • Advanced skills in Excel.
  • Ability to analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare estimates.
  • Experience in preparing and submitting prime cost estimates using Trimble Estimating Software
