Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join our dynamic Work Winning team in a hybrid role based at our London Office. In this role, you will play a crucial part in winning new projects by preparing accurate prime cost estimates for the mechanical components of our bids.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Estimating team with Mechanical bids and tenders
- Preparing and submitting prime cost estimates utilising Enterprise Estimating Software.
- Liaising with internal and external engineers, consultants and subcontractors to construct and formulate estimates and resolve issues
- Analysing drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare estimates
- Identifying and provide alternative design proposals, solutions and value engineering options
- Establishing and maintaining tendering processes and conduct negotiations
- Preparing and maintaining a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
- Supporting and encourage junior team members
- Monitoring targets and work flow
- Controlling and organising tender documentation
- Tracking and reporting on analytics on a variety of campaigns, internal communications, and social media using varied reporting tools
- You will be responsible for all your own workload and for looking after the project you are on
- You will also be required to be making all of your own decisions and will be expected to show initiative
Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills
- Experience working for a Mechanical & Electrical sub-contractor
- Proficient in using estimating software packages such as Trimble
- Experience in budget/cost planning
- Advanced skills in Excel
- Ability to analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare estimates
- Experience in preparing and submitting prime cost estimates using Trimble Estimating Software

What you will need
Skills/ Experience
