Summary
The Head of Analytics will lead [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk]’s analytics services, driving the vision and roadmap while managing the analytics team, client relationships and the delivery of analytical projects in a hybrid working environment.
Principal responsibilities include: management of the analytics team, ownership and management of key client relationships, leading and actively participating in analytics projects, quality assurance, and owning the overall analytics strategy.
Key requirements include: Extensive management and leadership skills, advanced analytical expertise with strong applied technical and analytical skills across a range of analytical programming languages (e.g. SQL, python) and visualisation tooling (e.g. Power BI, Tableau), and expertise in advanced data science methodologies, including machine learning.

Responsibilities
As the Head of Analytics, you’ll take the lead in driving [Employer hidden]’s analytics services, working closely with key stakeholders across the organisation. This is a dynamic, high-impact role where your leadership, communication, and organisational skills will ensure the seamless delivery of analytics solutions that meet and exceed client expectations. Principal responsibilities will involve:
- Management of the analytics team including identifying and assigning specialist resource to deliver the client projects and right-sizing / right
- skilling the analytics team to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed client commitments
- Line management and coaching of a team of specialist data analysts and data scientists for the provision of analytical services
- Ownership and management of key client relationships for the delivery of analytical projects
- Lead and actively participate in the hands-on delivery of analytics projects, including data exploration, modelling, visualisation, data storytelling
- and drawing out actionable recommendations for our clients
- Quality assurance of key client deliverables ensuring [Employer hidden]’s quality standards are met
- Own the overall analytics strategy, setting the vision and roadmap while leading the evolution of analytics and data science capabilities to drive
- innovation and business impact
- Working with the cross functional teams to provide insights for new products, product enhancements and technical development roadmaps

- Provision of client insights to inform future sales and customer engagement activities

About the team you would be managing
Our Data Analysts and Data Scientists:
- Are experts in turning large quantities of complex client data into insights which can be used to inform decision making and drive business benefit
- Are experienced in producing data visualisations, detailed reporting and analytics underpinned with clear business commentary
- Apply advanced statistical techniques such as ML algorithms to deliver client outcomes
- Invest in research and development to keep up to date with the latest analytical and data science techniques in this rapidly evolving field
- Balance the technical and analytical demands of their role with the need for strong engagement with our clients and consultants alike
- Conduct data analytics for complex data sets including our Tier 1 Telecoms / Utilities clients and provide insights into a range of focus areas
- including marketing services, customer eligibility, compliance, financial vulnerability, credit risk, collections, value based management, discounts
- and promotions

Education, Training & Experience:
You will have proven experience working in a senior capacity in a variety of relevant industries and have the ability to operate effectively in unfamiliar environments, remaining calm under pressure and agile in approach
You will have a minimum of 10 years experience of building and leading large high performing analytics teams to deliver clear, concise and insightful data analytics
You will have in-depth experience in analytics for credit risk, affordability, collections and base management (customer segmentation) including a sound working knowledge of bureau data with the ability to leverage your experience to coach and lead the Analytics team to accelerate findings and insights
You will have extensive experience of managing senior external stakeholder relationships
You will have experience in leading teams to translate data analysis into targeted information which can be converted into actionable improvements, based on specific client / industry need
You will have developed strong organisation and planning skills, ideally, within an analytics / business information environment
You will have advanced MS Office skills including MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and be comfortable in the use of other office packages e.g. Visio, Microsoft Project, etc
You must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be very comfortable interacting with all people at all levels across the [Employer hidden] team and with our client contacts
