FULL DESCRIPTION

Summary

Seeking a Marquee Rigger to join an experienced team, building and dismantling marquee structures. Key responsibilities include following instructions, adhering to health and safety regulations, and working flexible hours, particularly during peak season.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To build and deconstruct marquee structures at designated site locations and ensure that all tasks allocated are accurately carried out in accordance with instruction and timeframes set by the Lead Foreman
  • To ensure procedures are followed (company and legislative) and Health & Safety rules are observed
  • To attend team briefings prior to any jobs commencing and debriefing meetings following every dismantle

Core Requirements:

  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • English as a first or second language as all marquee structures will be erected in the UK

#### Job Description

Competitive Hourly Rate

Reporting to: Designated Lead Foreman (on a specific build)

Location: Onsite based with time in the warehouse/yard

Working Hours

Flexible hours based on marquee hire bookings with typical hours between 6am to 7pm Monday to Friday and additional hours on marquee builds as dictated by seasonal demand.

Availability to work weekends is an integral part of the job, particularly during peak season (May to October) and bank holidays

Key Responsibilities of the Role

  • To work as part of an experienced team of Foremen and other Seasonal Riggers in our Marquee hire business
  • To build and deconstruct marquee structures at designated site locations and ensure that all tasks allocated are accurately carried out in accordance with instruction and timeframes set by the Lead Foreman
  • To ensure procedures are followed (company and legislative) and Health & Safety rules are observed
  • To attend team briefings prior to any jobs commencing and debriefing meetings following every dismantle
  • To ensure all vehicles are loaded at the yard, in accordance with the Warehouse Foreman’s instructions (when required to do so)
  • To ensure all vehicles are reloaded on site, at the end of every job in accordance with the Lead Foreman’s instructions
  • To take part in the cleaning of all equipment when required, as instructed by the Lead Foreman or Warehouse Manager
  • To park vehicles properly and speed restrictions observed, which driving a company vehicle or private vehicle on company property
  • To treat all company equipment and vehicles are with respect
  • To assist other team members when appropriate for the benefit of the company

Previous Experience

  • Work in the events, marquee hire or draping industries preferred but not essential
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • English as a first or second language as all marquee structures will be erected in the UK
