The [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] secondary schools support trainee teachers from Mid Essex ITT. Mid Essex ITT is an outstanding* teacher training scheme which has been working with our schools since 1994 (*Ofsted, 2024).

This one-year course starts in September 2025 and offers you the chance to train as a teacher in two of our secondary schools. You will receive weekly training at Notley High School, plus subject specific training. After successfully completing the course, you will be awarded Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) accredited by Anglia Ruskin University. We offer both full-time and part-time options which last up to two years.

To be eligible to train, candidates must have:

  • GCSE at grade 4 (C) or above in English (or equivalent)
  • GCSE at grade 4 (C) or above in Maths (or equivalent)
  • a degree at classification 2:2 or above (or overseas equivalent)
