Education Support Assistant

Mortha Halls of Ivy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Education Support Assistant to join our team. The Education Support Assistant will provide essential support to learners, assisting them in their educational journey, fostering confidence and independence, and ensuring their well-being and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support learners in their educational pursuits under the supervision of instructors.
  • Assist learners in understanding instructions through various methods, tailoring approaches to individual learning styles, and encouraging self-confidence and independence.
  • Identify signs of distress in learners and offer reassurance and support as needed.
  • Implement care programs as appropriate to address the diverse needs of learners.
  • Help and encourage learners to communicate effectively, providing guidance and support as they navigate their learning experiences.
  • Attend to the physical needs of learners, ensuring their comfort and well-being during educational activities.
  • Provide feedback to instructors on the progress and needs of learners, completing and maintaining accurate records of support provided.

Key Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience working in an educational setting or with learners preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with learners.
  • Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude toward supporting learners in their educational journey.
  • Ability to adapt to the diverse needs and backgrounds of learners and provide appropriate support and encouragement.
  • Attention to detail and organisational skills to maintain accurate records of support provided.
  • Flexibility to respond to changing priorities and needs in a dynamic educational environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
