Position:

Senior Group & Leisure Sales Manager – UK, Europe & CIS

Department:

Sales & Marketing

Reports into:

Director of Sales London

Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships within each of the markets and follow up promptly with appropriate action to secure business.
  • Evaluate, solicit, sell and confirm business to meet individual goals and overall budgeted sales and profitability.
  • Ensure all activities and contacts are recorded in the designated Sales Management system.
  • Negotiate with clients and achieve maximum revenue/profit potential whilst satisfying client’s needs.
  • Negotiate and complete contracts according to strategy and ensure signed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure personal KPI’s in place and are frequently reviewed and achieved.
  • Develop a comprehensive and measurable strategic account plans for all source markets and segments
  • Develop solid relationship with the GSO’s within your markets, with regular interaction and to implement cohesive strategies.
  • Ensure that for each market, property strategies are correctly aligned to high demand periods of opportunity.
  • Schedule and plan all sales trips in accordance with the planned budget and that post trip sales reports are completed and issued no later than one week upon return of trip.
  • Arrange and attend familiarization trips and client events through working with key travel partners, for key and prospect clients.
  • Ensure that all proposals are followed up in a timely manner and all efforts taken to take them to contract status.
  • To be actively involved in the budget process relating to expenses and providing timely reforecasting aligned to month end processes.
  • Represent the company at industry related trade shows, sales trips and at functions as required.
  • Ensure that all expense reports are completed correctly and on a frequent basis and in line with budget.
  • Maintain accurate knowledge of our competitor hotels and assess trends in the market place to help capitalize on our strengths and overcome our weaknesses.
  • Track key business indicators (such as Hotelligence, STR reports) to determine our position in the market and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with the Marketing Team to ensure that the Hotels and Residences are represented in line with company standards.
  • Work closely with the Revenue/Distribution Team to ensure that rates are correctly loaded and all promotions are displayed accordingly.
  • Actively participate in the budget process to contribute towards account/ market revenue opportunities

Job Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospitality sales within the luxury segment with strong background in MICE, leisure and corporate segments.

Proven track record of success and client relationships in account management and business development in the UK, Europe and CIS regions

Solid understanding of revenue management process, pricing and strategies to deliver optimum results

Ability to build solid relationships with clients and colleagues

Creative, goal oriented and flexible

Awareness of market conditions and the ability to proactively counter market reactions

Ability to monitor ROI

Knowledge of Sales Force, Delphi and Opera preferred

Fluency within another European language preferred

Multi Property experience preferred
